Bill Scott was a natural collector.

He collected songs and poems and stories and yarns and delighted
in dusting them off and passing them on to a new audience.

Sometimes he did this professionally as author and editor, but often he collected
things, like photos of creek signposts, just because he enjoyed the process.

While some collectors gather things to lock away for their private study, collecting
for Bill was all about dusting them off, reviving them and putting them back into circulation.

These collected experiences also provided the background for his own original
stories and songs and over the years, these have become folklore in their turn.

Now, much of Bill’s work is no longer in print. And many of his stories and articles and poems
are not readily available. So now it's our turn to do the collecting, dust them off and hand them on.

In these pages we celebrate and promote his work. We are also looking to share memories
and reminiscences from people who knew Bill and his work and are happy to share them with
folk around the world.

I hope you will join in the celebration. We look forward to hearing from you.
